Our services are based on our proven expertise in structural engineering, renovation construction, building physics, and indoor air technology. IdeaStructura customers are mainly construction and real estate professionals and housing associations. IdeaStructura services cover the entirety of Finland; IdeaStructura has been innovating in the construction industry since 2011 and using ArchiFrame since 2020.

We receive building drawings as native Archicad models or IFC files, and from there we continue the structural and element design using a combination of Archicad and ArchiFrame. In many locations, we combine structural engineering models in the IFC format with Archicad & ArchiFrame 3D models. Archicad’s teamwork/BIMCloud enables several designers to work simultaneously on an object – a very useful feature in many projects. ArchiFrame was easy to implement and today, anyone who uses it, considers it the Mercedes Benz of wooden house design. For example, the fact that with ArchiFrame you can deviate from the architectural model and its wall models makes our work significantly easier and more flexible. We are in close contact with the developers of ArchiFrame and this has been another big advantage for us; for example, we were able to advocate for some useful additional CLT design functions that were delivered to us within an impressive timeframe. ArchiFrame software developers always listen to customer feedback and development suggestions. ArchiFrame can also be easily customised according to customer wishes.

ArchiFrame produces the necessary production images, CNC codes, and machinings for manufacturing. To facilitate on-site installation we have created 3D installation diagrams of elements as BIMx models to be used on the construction site with a smartphone or tablet.”
