By combining high-performance CNC machines from <\/i>WEINMANN<\/i><\/a>, advanced MES programming from <\/i>granIT<\/i><\/a>, and <\/i>ArchiFrame\u2019s<\/i><\/a> powerful modelling software, they created an efficient and precise CNC production system. Together, these three technologies are helping Space Factory drive the future of sustainable timber housing in Korea.<\/i><\/p>

Specialising in prefabricated timber homes, Space Factory employs both modular and panelised construction methods that maximise flexibility and efficiency.\u00a0 The launch of their new production factory in Autumn 2024 provided the perfect opportunity to invest in a tailored technical system.<\/p>

By combining WEINMANN machinery, granIT factory automation, and Archicad + ArchiFrame for CAD modelling, Space Factory created a high-performance solution that enhances efficiency, reduces waste, and ensures precision at every stage.<\/p>

Petteri Heiskari, CEO of ArchiFrame, commends Space Factory\u2019s ability to adopt and customise workflows and make software their own: \u201cIt\u2019s been great working with the Space Factory team, as well as with WEINMANN and granIT. ArchiFrame has played a crucial role in streamlining Space Factory\u2019s design workflow. By enabling precise BIM modelling and direct integration with manufacturing processes, ArchiFrame reduces errors, optimises material usage, and significantly shortens project timelines.<\/p>

WEINMANN\u2019s machines stand out for their customisability and proven reliability\u2014trusted by house manufacturers and builders worldwide. Many ArchiFrame users rely on WEINMANN\u2019s CNC workflow to ensure consistency and quality in prefabrication.\u00a0<\/p>

granIT\u2019s MES software is crucial for automating production management and maximising efficiency. With its systematic approach, it enables quick identification and resolution of production bottlenecks, ensuring a seamless workflow.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The construction industry faces persistent challenges such as personnel shortages, long build times, and material inefficiencies. By embracing prefabrication, Space Factory aims to tackle these issues, delivering faster, more cost-effective, and sustainable housing solutions. The company also prioritises design flexibility while maintaining high structural integrity and energy efficiency.<\/p>

As demand for eco-friendly housing grows, Space Factory is at the forefront of innovation, integrating smart home technologies, passive house design, and advanced prefabrication techniques: “There is increasing interest in prefabricated timber housing as a sustainable alternative to traditional construction. Collaboration has been central to this project. ArchiFrame CEO Petteri Heiskari, granIT CEO Wolfgang and personnel from Weinmann Germany and Homag Korea have all worked on-site in Korea alongside Space Factory engineers, ensuring seamless integration of their technologies.
